Casas Del Bosque Winery

Founded in 1993 by the pioneering Cúneo family, Casas del Bosque is an esteemed winery that focuses on crafting fresh coastal wines, with a dedication to varietals including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Under the guidance of winemaker Alberto Guolo, the estate also ventures into experimentation with Malbec, further enriching its portfolio.

Casas del Bosque extends beyond winemaking, offering an immersive experience for visitors. Its acclaimed winery restaurant, Tanino, offers award-winning cuisine, and visitors can enjoy a vareity of activities from leisurely bike rides through the vineyards to idyllic picnics at Casa Mirador, a scenic lookout spot.

The origins of the name “Forest Houses” pay homage to the region’s ancient forests of pine and olive trees, alongside quaint white adobe dwellings. Today, Casas del Bosque boasts a single vineyard spanning 189 hectares, exclusively dedicated to cultivating cooler climate varietals. From Sauvignon Blanc to Malbec and Cabernet Franc, each wine reflects the terroir of volcanic soils, shaped over 110 million years ago beneath the Pacific Ocean. Characterized by shallow red clay atop decomposed granite, these soils impart a unique flavor profile reminiscent of sea salt.

With an annual production of 1.3 million bottles, predominantly sourced from its own vineyard, Casas del Bosque has garnered international acclaim. Exported to over fifty countries worldwide, its wines showcase the diversity and quality synonymous with Chilean viticulture. The winery’s esteemed status is underscored by accolades, including recognition from The World Best Vineyards and Wine Access magazine. As a destination for wine enthusiasts and tourists alike, Casas del Bosque continues to innovate, ensuring each visitor experiences the essence of Chilean wine culture in a truly unparalleled setting.
